PACIFIC RIM Mobile Technologies unveils HSDPA capability for its industry leading WCDMA Air Protocol Analyzer

LAS VEGAS, CTIA Wireless 2006 and Vancouver, BC, Canada, April 5th 2006 - Pacific Rim Mobile Technologies, pioneering 3G mobile testing solutions, today unveils the 3.5G High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) capability for its industry leading WCDMA Air Protocol Analyzer-AP6000.

HSDPA, a form of mobile broadband, is capable of transmitting data at speeds up to seven times faster than that of WCDMA. Users can enjoy large scale multimedia downloads, such as DVD quality movies and interactive multimedia games, with high-speed wireless Internet access comparable to speeds of fixed-line ADSL services.

Being fully compatible with HSDPA technology, the AP6000 Air Protocol Analyzer (APA) is the ideal tool to test the air interface between User Equipment (UE) and Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) in WCDMA/HSDPA networks.

The AP6000 allows developers, researchers and inter-operability test engineers to perform in-depth analysis of all three layers of the Uu protocol stack with a reliable, vendor independent tool. Hardware and software development time of 3G/HSPDA devices can be greatly reduced by using the AP6000. In addition, the analysis and location of problems during Inter Operability Testing (IOT) is made much easier.

As a vendor independent testing solution, APA products have become the industry standard tool for R&D, network performance, air interface and Inter Operability Test compliance verification for the 3G networks. Currently there are more than 120 APA units being used by major 3G network operators and equipment manufacturers around the world.

PACIFIC RIM Mobile Technologies ACQUIRES TELECOM TEST EQUIPMENT RIGHTS

Vancouver, Canada – June 1, 2005: The Pacific Rim Group announces that its subsidiary, Pacific Rim Mobile Technologies (International) Ltd. (PRMT Int’l), has secured the global sales and marketing rights outside Japan for all products developed by ABIT Corporation of Japan, including their industry leading Air Protocol Analyzer line of test equipment products for use in the cellular telephone industry..

The range of products include unique GSM, HSDPA and WCDMA Air Protocol Analyzers that are already widely used by major 3G mobile system manufacturers and service operators in Asia, Europe and North America. ABIT is also actively involved in the development and implementation of a wide range of telephony products including PHS chipsets and VoIP technologies.

PRMT Int’l will initially focus on sales, including the development of a world wide dealer network, and technical support services for the Air Protocol Analyzer products. Other ABIT products will be added in the future.
